Cobalt disulfide, an ideal cathode material for thermal batteries, has the characteristics of high conductivity, good chemical stability, and high decomposition temperature. The capacity of the thermal battery made of cobalt disulfide material is basically the same as that of Iron disulfide, the internal resistance is about 40% lower than that of Iron disulfide, and the performance of high current discharge and open-circuit shelving is significantly better than that of the Iron disulfide system.
